Welcome to CrewTek early access
Thanks for being one of our first operators. CrewTek is free during early access; in return we’d love your honest feedback about what works, what doesn’t and what’s missing.
CrewTek is an early-stage product built by a working pilot. It’s in real use, but you’ll find rough edges, and features will change as we learn from operators like you. These terms explain how that works, in plain English.
In these terms, “we” and “CrewTek” mean CrewTek, operated by Scott Bosman. “You” means the operator that signs up, and “your users” are the crew and staff you invite.
Your existing system stays your official record
During early access, please keep using your current systems and records for compliance. Run CrewTek alongside them, not instead of them.
CrewTek is a tool to help you manage flight and duty, recency, training currency and safety reporting. It doesn’t replace your own judgement, your operations manual or your obligations to CASA. You and your crew remain responsible for:
- checking that duty, rest and recency are within limits before every flight
- the accuracy of the information you put into CrewTek
- keeping the records your approvals and the regulations require
If CrewTek ever shows something that doesn’t look right, trust your own check and please tell us so we can fix it.
Your data is yours
Everything you put into CrewTek belongs to you. We use it only to run CrewTek for you, never sell it, and never share it with anyone else except the service providers that run CrewTek.
- Where it lives: your database and files are hosted with Supabase in Sydney, Australia. We take regular backups to protect against loss.
- Who can see it: only the users you invite. Each operator’s data is kept separate from every other operator’s.
- Our access: we may sign in to your account to help you, for example when you ask for support or to fix a problem. We’ll keep that to what’s needed, and each time it’s logged.
- Taking it with you: ask at any time and we’ll export your data (spreadsheet or JSON, plus your uploaded PDFs).
- Deleting it: if you leave, we’ll delete your data within 30 days of your request, after giving you the chance to export it.
Our Privacy Policy has the detail, including how passenger and passport information is handled.
What we ask of you
- Tell us what you think. Bugs, frustrations and ideas, big or small, to info@crewtekefb.com. We may use your suggestions to improve CrewTek, without owing you anything for them.
- Keep logins to yourselves. Each person uses their own account, and you let us know if you think one has been compromised.
- Only add people and information you’re entitled to. That includes having consent for any passenger or passport details you record.
- Use it fairly. No attempts to break, copy or resell CrewTek, or to get at another operator’s data.
How long it lasts, and what happens next
Early access is free until 28 February 2027, and we may extend it. You’ll never be charged automatically.
- If we introduce pricing, we’ll give you at least 60 days’ notice and talk it through with you first. You only move to a paid plan if you agree to; otherwise you can export your data and leave.
- You can stop at any time, for any reason. Just let us know.
- We can end or pause early access with reasonable notice (at least 30 days unless something urgent, like a security problem, makes that impossible). Either way, you’ll get the chance to export your data first.
- We may change these terms as CrewTek grows. We’ll email you about anything significant before it applies.
The legal bits, in plain English
- As-is. CrewTek is provided free and “as is” during early access. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will be error-free or always online.
- Limit on liability. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss that comes from using CrewTek, including operational, regulatory or business loss. If we are found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to AUD $100.
- Your consumer rights. Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t legally be excluded.
- Ownership of CrewTek. The CrewTek software, design and name remain ours. Your data remains yours.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
